Edward von Selzam's view from America 1925, 1989.

The collection consists of Malcom Reynolds' s German transcription and English translation of von Selzam's letters to his parents while he was stationed in Washington, D.C. as personal secretary to Baron Ago von Maltzan, German ambassador to the United States. Von Selzam describes other members of the German embassy, the social scene in Washington, reclaiming family property in Wisconsin seized during World War I, vacationing in Massachusetts, trip to Wisconsin. He comments on German politics and the election of Hindenburg, the Locarno conference, the Dawes Plan.
